I created the very first version the plugin in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to save a local community events website from making mistakes and spending a lot of time creating newsletters of coming events.
Since then it's grown in features and functionality, and helps keep a lot of people informed of the events they care about right in their inbox! We've also added The Events Calendar Shortcode & Block plugin to list events anywhere, specifically for The Events Calendar (by Modern Tribe).
