Event Calendar Newsletter allows you to automatically insert your upcoming events into a MailPoet newsletter, whether the newsletter is automated or manual. You can include events from one of several different WordPress event calendar plugins.
Create a Saved Template of Events
Follow the instructions to save a template then click Saved Templates under Event Calendar Newsletter. Depending on your WordPress calendar, you can choose what time period of events you would like to include (ie. the next two weeks) and even filter by things like event category or tags. There’s no limit to the number of templates you can create and include in your campaign.
If you have MailPoet installed, the MailPoet shortcode will be shown in the saved templates listing under Event Calendar Newsletter > Saved Templates.

Insert Template into a MailPoet Campaign
After you have a saved template created, copy the MailPoet shortcode for your saved template — in this case, [custom:ecn-492] — and paste it into the content of your MailPoet newsletter where you’d like your events to appear:

When you click Preview or send yourself a preview email, the shortcode [custom:ecn-492] is replaced with the actual events from your saved template:

Including Multiple Templates
You can include multiple templates in your newsletters, such as events from different categories.
First, create a Saved Template for each section you want to include. You can optionally add a heading that will only appear if there is at least one event, rather than adding the heading in the campaign itself.

Once saved, go to Event Calendar Newsletter > Saved Templates and then copy and paste the MailPoet shortcode for each one into your campaign.

Click Preview or send yourself a test email to see that the shortcodes are replaced with events, along with the headers.

If you know you’ll always have events in those categories, you can add the separator in MailPoet instead.
That’s it! The events from Event Calendar Newsletter will automatically update next time you manually send the campaign, or as part of an automated campaign.
